Moose Jaw Police say they have now issued five tickets for taking part in what was dubbed a “Freedom” rally on Saturday in Moose Jaw.
An additional ticket was issued after the weekend event which the police say involved in excess of 50 people gathering on January 16th.
Each ticket was for disobeying the Public Health Order to limit outdoor group sizes to 10 people or less. Two Moose Jaw people who were charged were given tickets with voluntary payments of $2,800. The other three individuals charged were allegedly at previous rallies in the province and were not given the voluntary payment option but will instead have to go to court.
Moose jaw Police say they continue to investigate and more charges may be pending.
