Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he continues voicing his government’s commitment to the Keystone XL pipeline project.
Trudeau says the government is arguing in favour of the project directly to the highest levels of the incoming Biden administration in the United States.
The incoming President has signaled he will scrap the project as early as Wednesday.
The Prime Minister says he’s already spoken with Canada’s ambassador to the U.S, Thurston Hillman.
During his media briefing in Ottawa, the PM also spoke on the availability of the COVID -19 vaccine. He says more than 1 million doses have arrived in Canada. Trudeau says Pfizer’s global supply issues are not ideal but he says that’s why his government were so ambitious in the large numbers of contracts signed and doses they secured.
