It was a passing motorists worst fear, being realized right before their eyes.

A motorist was on the phone with 911 about a woman, going north, pushing a shopping cart on Territorial Drive in the northbound driving lane, when another vehicle, also going north, hit the woman. She was reported to be wearing all black and pushing a bright yellow shopping cart.

This happened at 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday at Territorial Drive near the 8th Avenue intersection. The 25 year old woman, suffering serious but not life threatening injuries, was flown to RUH in Saskatoon for further treatment.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was not hurt and stayed at the scene. The area was shut down for several hours while a collision analyst investigated and RCMP say charges are not pending against the driver. The 25 year old woman is expected to make a full recovery.
