North Battleford R-C-M-P have renewed their request for the public’s health with helping identify the body of a young, adult male who was found inside an abandoned house following a fire on January 19.
The residence was located north of the junction of Highways 687 and 378, about 30 kilometres northeast of North Battleford. Saskatchewan R-C-M-P Major Crimes North and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service have joined North Battleford R-C-M-P with the investigation surrounding the circumstances of what is believed to be a homicide and to confirm the deceased’s identity. A forensic autopsy took place in Saskatoon on January 21, after which the scene of the incident was released. Anyone with information relating to the incident, any suspicious activity in the area or can help with identifying the deceased person is asked to contact North Battleford R-C-M-P or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
