Statistics Canada says retail sales rose at their fastest pace since September, up 1.3 per cent in November. It was the seventh consecutive monthly gain in Canada. Compared to the same month the year before, sales were up 7.5 per cent. The increase was led by higher sales at food and beverage stores, along with an uptick in e-commerce sales. Core retail sales rose 2.6 per cent. In Saskatchewan, sales were up 2.2 per cent month to month and up 6.8 per cent, year to year.
