Charges have been laid in an investigation which began after a 36 year old man drove himself to the hospital in Ile-a-la-Crosse on the 19th after being shot in the leg.
Ile-a-la-Crosse and Beauval RCMP located a 30 year old man believed to be responsible the next day at a home.
Police say he surrendered himself to police and was taken into custody.
Jesse Durocher is facing charges that include aggravated assault and shooting a firearm with intent.
He made his first court appearance by phone on Friday.
