The Health Ministry says protesters showing up at the Chief Medical Health Officer’s home on Saturday will not distract him from continuing his important ongoing work.
Dr. Saqib Shahab was unavailable for comment, although both he and Premier Scott Moe will be providing a COVID-19 update tomorrow afternoon.
Government spokesperson, Jim Billington, says at that time, Moe and Shahab will address the current public health orders which are set to expire on Friday and there will be an update to the vaccine delivery plan.
Billington says, when it comes to questions related to security considerations for Dr. Shahab, appropriate steps are being taken, but that’s all he can say.
