A suspect in a 2020 homicide in Saskatoon is being returned to the city to answer to charges in connection to a shooting at a restaurant-pub in the 200 block of Slimmon Road in Saskatoon.
August 21st, 2020, 30 year old Logan Nayneecassum was found injured at the business in the Lakewood neighbourhood and was pronounced deceased at hospital. It was Saskatoon’s 9th homicide last year.
A Canada-wide warrant for 2nd degree murder was issued within a week of the shooting for 32 year old Afrah Ali. Saskatoon Police say the subject of that Canada-wide warrant was arrested by United States Border Patrol while attempting to cross into the U.S. unlawfully last Saturday, January 23rd.
