The Regina Police Service report issuing another $2800 ticket at a COVID-19 restrictions rally Saturday.
At around 2 p.m. the Regina Police Service monitored the event organized to protest the Province’s Public Health Orders issued to prevent he spread of the COVID-19 virus. Police estimate approximately 50-60 people were in attendance. Police observed apparent violations of the Public Health Order and, after consultation with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, one woman was ticketed for disobeying the Public Health Orders on COVID-19. Police add the event was peaceful and no arrests were made.
That brings the total amount of fines to 18 that have been issued by the Regina Police Service, under the
Public Health Orders brought into effect during the pandemic.
