All buses are cancelled for students at École Notre-Dame-des-Vertus in #ZenonPark, at école Valois in #PrinceAlbert, École Providence in #Vonda, and École St-Isidore in #Bellevue.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools bus service on Thursday, February 11, 2021, has been cancelled for the following: elementary school students (pre-kindergarten – Grade 8) in Saskatoon, Warman and Martensville; high school students from Martensville and Warman who get bused to Bishop James Mahoney High School; and intensive-needs high school buses in Saskatoon. School division policy is to cancel bus service in Saskatoon when the temperature, including wind chill, reaches -45 C. Cancellations are for the whole day (morning and afternoon service). Bus service shared with Prairie Spirit School Division (Martensville and Warman) may run in the afternoon if temperatures are warm enough. All schools in the division are open regular school hours.
All school buses serving Saskatoon Public Schools are cancelled today (Thursday, February 11, 2021) due to the extreme cold temperatures. The cancellation is in effect for the entire day and includes all routes and charters. All schools are open and classes will run as scheduled. Students will be safe and warm inside the school all day while instruction continues as planned.
School buses for Beardy’s Okemasis Cree Nation are not running today for both schools, as well, schools are closed.
Prairie Spirit School Division has decided, as the combined windchill temperature on Environment Canada at 6 a.m. was -54 in Saskatoon and -48 in Prince Albert, all Prairie Spirit school buses are cancelled for the morning routes today.
