BHP says, in its half-year report ended December 31st 2020, profits from operations were up 17 per cent to $9.8 billion dollars U-S compared to the same period a year before. Basic earnings per share rose 20 per cent and the interim dividend per share rose 55 per cent. Net debt decreased seven per cent to $11.839 billion.
The company reports there were no fatalities at any of its operation over the last two years.
The report also mentions the Jansen Stage 1 potash project near Humboldt. it once again says that the project is expected to be presented to the BHP Board for Final Investment Decision in the middle of this calendar year.
