The Saskatoon Fire Department received a 911 call just before 9 a.m. Monday reporting an ammonia leak in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent East at the Bessborough Hotel. Crews arrived to find a small refrigerator in a suite leaking ammonia. Hazmat technicians wrapped it in plastic and carried it from the building. It was then turned over to the building manager. There was no one in the suite at the time of the leak and no one was impacted, in terms of their health, by the ammonia.
