Carlyle RCMP have confirmed the pedestrian-vehicle collision on Sunday evening just north of the Bear Claw Casino & Hotel was a fatal one.
Police say a truck was heading south on Highway 9 when it allegedly struck a 52 year old man walking on the southbound driving lane.
The 26 year old driver attempted life-saving efforts until emergency responders arrived, but the man was declared dead.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in this fatal accident.
Both lanes of Highway 9 between the casino and the entrance to Kenosee Lake reopened this morning (Mon).
The collision remains under investigation.
