The 2021 Energy and Mines Ministers’ Conference, is currently planned for Saskatoon in September.
Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, Seamus O’Regan Jr., and Saskatchewan’s Minister of Energy and Resources, Bronwyn Eyre, have issued a joint statement that they met virtually with provincial and territorial counterparts, as part of ongoing sessions ahead of the Saskatoon meeting.

The two minsters say that governments are working together to support the natural resource sectors. The statement says these efforts have resulted in a number of new programs with aims to support jobs in the natural resource industries; to advance innovative energy development; and to strengthen Canada’s competitiveness, including through reducing emissions and combating climate change.
