Around 12:20 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, a mini-van crashed into a building at 705 Central Avenue. Police, fire fighters and ambulance personnel all responded. A 32 year old customer and a 35 year old employee inside the store were hit. Both women were taken to hospital with the customer suffering life-threatening injuries. Police say the employee’s injuries were minor but still required medical attention. Neither the 31 year old man behind the wheel nor his 10 year old passenger was hurt. The driver’s licence was seized pending a medical review. The matter remains under investigation.
