The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Saskatoon woman in a child pornography case. It’s in relation to an investigation that began last December into online accessing of child pornography through a popular online social media application. On Tuesday police executed a search warrant at a residence in Saskatoon. Child pornography was allegedly found at the scene and electronic items were seized for forensic analysis.
34 year old Mariel P. Cabrera, was arrested. She has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
She was held in custody and will be appearing in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Thursday.
