The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Monday morning that they have signed Canadian offensive lineman Brett Boyko.
The Saskatoon product played 15 games for the B-C Lions in 2019. Boyko spent three seasons in the N-F-L with the L-A Chargers, appearing in one game. He was initially signed by Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent, spending one season on their practice roster. The 28-year-old also played for the San Diego Fleet of the A-A-F and spent four N-C-Double-A seasons at U-N-L-V. In addition, the Green and White announced that they have signed American defensive back Kentrell Brice on Monday. Brice spent five seasons in the N-F-L after signing with Green Bay as an undrafted free agent. The 26-year-old played 36 games for the Packers and amassed 94 tackles and one interception. RIDERS BRING SASKATOON NATIVE BRETT BOYKO HOME
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National offensive lineman Brett Boyko.
Boyko (6’7-305lbs) joins the Riders after initially signing with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He spent the season on the Eagles practice roster, before moving on to the Chargers, where he spent three seasons (2016-2018) and played in one NFL game. Boyko was a member of the San Diego Fleet of the AAF before the league ceased operations. Most recently, Boyko was with the B.C. Lions, who selected him in the second round (14th overall) of the 2015 CFL Draft. He played 15 games for the Club in 2019.
Coming out of his four collegiate seasons at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Boyko was considered the top prospect of the CFL Draft. The Saskatoon native started in all 43 games he played as a Rebel and was invited to play in the 2015 East-West Shrine Game. As a senior, Boyko was named Second Team All-Mountain West Conference after moving from left tackle to left guard and allowing just one quarterback sack on the year. That season he was named to the Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List and Phil Steele ranked him as the No. 24 offensive tackle in the United States.

RIDERS INK DEFENSIVE BACK KENTRELL BRICE
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive back Kentrell Brice.
Brice (6’0-205lbs) joins the Green and White after five NFL seasons. He entered the NFL in 2016 after signing with the Green Bay Packer as an undrafted free agent, playing in 36 career games and making 94 tackles, one sack, six passes defended, and one interception. After three seasons as a Packer, Brice went on to spend time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2019), Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals (2020). He was also selected by the Seattle Dragons in the 2020 XFL Draft.
The Ruston, Louisiana native spent four collegiate seasons at his hometown college, Louisiana Tech. Brice played in 50 games as a Bulldog, making 210 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, five sacks, three interceptions, 16 passes defended, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He was the top tackler and made the most forced fumbles on his team as a junior. As a senior in 2015 he was an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention.
