Bidding has begun on this year’s art auction in support of Saskatoon Sexual Health services.

Heather Hale, Executive Director of the SSH says the auction called “the Body of Art” has been in the community for over 25 years. The art available for auction and features regular contributing and emerging artists. While they usually hold an in person art auction, this year they’ve moved it online. Hale says the art can still be seen at the Alt Haus on Avenue C South.

During the pandemic Hale says there has been an increased need for SSH services. Saskatoon Sexual Health services is a non-profit that has been operating for over 40 years that offers support to promote healthy sexuality. They provide services like low cost and free contraceptives, pregnancy options, counselling, HIV and STI testing, as well as education for community and school groups.

29 artists have contributed their art with up to 60% of their proceeds going to the SSH.
