The Executive Vice President and CEO of Potash with Nutrien, says there will be some job losses and possibly some transfers at Nutrien offices across North America.
Ken Seitz (sites) says it will affect fewer than 50 employees in Saskatchewan.
This is in an effort to make Nutrien’s finance department more efficient, so the company is moving to more automation in this area.
Where possible, some employees may be able to transfer to other areas of the business.
Seitz says Nutrien is communicating with its employees this week and supporting them as much as possible through the transition.
He adds that Nutrien employs more people in Saskatchewan than any other company.
