Saskatoon Police say that on February 25, officers observed activity consistent with drug trafficking on Galbraith Crescent. Officers arrested the driver of a pickup truck for trafficking cocaine but they allege that he tried to flee, causing damage to a nearby parked vehicle and garage door. The 29 year old suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
Officers then executed search warrants in the 1600 block of 37th Street West and at a residence in Peace Point in the R.M. of Dundurn. The searches allegedly resulted in the seizure of 59 grams of crack cocaine and $16,000.
The 29-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Over $5000. He has since been released pending a court appearance in the spring.
