The Saskatoon Police Service’s Interpersonal Violence Section has arrested a 33-year-old man following the completion of an investigation into a case of sexual exploitation.
The suspect was taken into custody on February 25 without incident and has since seen a Justice of the Peace…after which he was released with conditions. Back on February 23, the Sex Crime Unit charged the man with Sexual Exploitation contrary to Section 153-A of the Criminal Code after interactions with a female youth were reported in November, 2020. The sexual exploitation reportedly occurred between September, 2011 and January, 2012 in Saskatoon when the female victim was 17 years-old and the accused was in a position of authority.
