The Saskatchewan Health Authority has some tips to help you know if the call you are receiving about test results and contact tracing is actually from the SHA.
In a news release, the SHA says it’s possible the number displayed on your phone may be from out of the country, because they are using a Hosted Call Centre.
If you prefer not to answer an unknown call, take down the number and call back to verify.
When you answer a call from the SHA, the representative will give you the first three digits of your Health Card number and you will be asked to provide the last three digits.
However, if the SHA is calling to inform about being a close contact of a positive case of COVID-19, the person may only have your first name and phone number.
