Saskatoon police say a 32 year old man is facing a charge of arson in connection to a house fire on Sunday, March 7th in the 300 block of Avenue J South. Firefighters were greeted by heavy black smoke when they arrived on scene in response to a call that came in shortly before 6:30 p.m. The fire was under control by 6:53 p.m. and damage was estimated at $100,000. The Saskatoon Police Service says it was concluded through a joint investigation with the Saskatoon Fire Department that the fire had been deliberately set.
