Statistics Canada says the Consumer Price Index rose at a slightly faster pace year-over-year in February, up 1.1 per cent, than in January which was up one per cent.

Prices for consumer goods rose one per cent which was a faster year-over-year pace in February compared with January where the increase was only 0.1 per cent, mostly because of higher gasoline prices.

In Saskatoon, inflation rose one per cent last month. Regina rose 0.8 per cent. Saskatchewan saw an increase of 0.8 per cent.
