A big drug and weapons bust for RCMP after Traffic Services conducted a traffic stop near Maidstone on Monday. Officers alleged the driver and passenger were in possession of illegal tobacco so they searched the vehicle and allege finding methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and a small amount of cash. That led to a search warrant being executed at a home in Waldheim and bringing in the Federal Serious and Organized Crime North unit.

RCMP allege that, as a result of that search they found methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, prescription pills, a modified shotgun, two conducted energy devices, and over $30 thousand cash.
Police say the amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl was significant, with the fentanyl representing over two thousand doses.

48 year old Jenna Beamish and 28 year old Dylan Bendall, both of Waldheim, are charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, one of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and one of Possession of Unstamped Tobacco Products. Further charges are pending. Both of the accused are in court again March 22nd in Lloydminster.
