The Saskatoon Fire Department received a report of a “chemical” smell in a building in the 300 block of Pendygrasse Road over the noon hour Thursday. On arrival, crews took readings for carbon monoxide were 0 parts per million except in one location where 350 PPM were picked up near a heat duct. SaskEnergy identified a minor natural gas leak. Once the leak was stopped and a reading of zero was identified throughout the building, the occupants returned to their suites.
