A new city clerk has been hired for Saskatoon as of this week’s city council meeting.

With the retirement of city clerk Joanne Sproule this year, the Personnel Subcommittee completed it’s recruitment process and recommended the appointment of Adam Tittemore as city clerk effective April 15th. Councillor Bev Dubois says they conducted a lengthy national search before picking Tittemore whose previous position was administrator for the RM of Corman Park.

City council also approved a new contract for CUPE 859, which consists of many of Saskatoon’s outside city workers. The term of the agreement is four and a half years, and will see employees receive wage increases annually including a 1.95% increase in 2022.

Also approved by council was an amendment to the vehicle for hire bylaw. This sees the maximum age of a taxi operating in the city bumped up from seven to ten years. This amendment was passed unanimously by council.
