Easter weekend in Saskatoon will be more egg-citing this year!
The Nutana Rotary Club of Saskatoon will be holding a city-wide Easter egg scavenger hunt on Easter Sunday. Candace Odishaw with the Rotary club, says normally their big fundraiser is Ribfest which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Odishaw says while they are looking at doing a drive-thru version this year, as a temporary fundraiser they are doing an Easter Egg Scavenger hunt to get kids and families safely out of the house that day.
Odishaw says each team that registers will be emailed eight clues directing them to different areas of Saskatoon to collect the eggs with randomly placed sponsor logos in them, to get a chance to win one of the major prizes. Odishaw explains prizes will include passes for the Forestry Farm and Zoo, a corn maze, lazer tag, escape manor, and a family pass to Nutrien Wonder Hub. There will also be gift card prizes for Tim Horton’s and groceries. Odishaw says all locations will be within city limits, in kid friendly areas.
Odishaw says the Rotary club’s goal is to raise additional funds for breakfast programs in Saskatoon. She says they managed to donate around $4000 last year but would like to see that number increase.
The scavenger hunt will run from 12-4 Easter Sunday with the final prizes drawn at 4:15.
