In honour of National Indigenous Languages Day, which is today (Wed), the Saskatchewan RCMP would like to recognize the importance of Indigenous languages spoken in this province.
They include Plains Cree, Swampy Cree, Woods Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota, Dakota, Lakota, Dene and Michif.
The provincial RCMP recently produced a video on the Dene language and what is being done by community members to keep the language strong in la Loche.
