Saskatoon opened its drive-thru COVID-19 immunization clinic Monday at 8:30 a.m.  Vehicles were lined up at least two hours in advance and they reached capacity for the day at 10 a.m. 

The Saskatchewan Health Authority advises those wanting to use the drive-thru vaccination clinic to come back Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m.   All residents are urged to seek vaccination as soon as they become eligible.

On Tuesday the drive-thru will be open at 7:30 a.m until 10:30 p.m. and these hours will continue until the vaccine supply is exhausted.

The drive-thru site will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Only those 55 years of age and older on the date of immunization will receive vaccine.

If you choose to access the drive-thru rather than keeping your booked appointment, please ensure you cancel online. Visit www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19-vaccine and select ‘Book or change my appointment.’ You can cancel online even if you booked over the phone. You can also call 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829) if you are unable to complete your request online.

Expect slower moving traffic in the area:

• From South/West neighbourhoods: use Circle Drive south to Ruth Street, Ruth Street to St Henry Avenue.
• From North neighbourhoods: use Idylwyld Dr to 8th Street, Lorne Ave to Ruth Street, Ruth Street to St Henry Avenue.
• From East neighbourhoods: use Lorne Avenue/ Ruth Street to St Henry Avenue.
• Left turns into Prairieland Park from Lorne Avenue will not be allowed.
