Several drive thru and walk-in vaccination clinics opened on the weekend in Saskatchewan. North Battleford, Weyburn and Prince Albert opened drive-thru clinics while Swift Current and Weyburn opened walk in clinics. These are for Saskatchewan residents age 55 and older and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be administered at these clinics. Moose Jaw will open a drive thru site this Friday, Yorkton will open its tomorrow and Saskatoon opens a drive-thru site today.
The clinics are on a first-come, first-served basis, with no appointment necessary. Those who are attending the clinics must follow all the posted signage, and follow the directions from the staff. Masks must be worn at all times, even while waiting outside of the building, and physical distancing must be maintained.
If a person has previously booked a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, and wants to attend the walk-in or drive-thru clinics, they are asked to call to cancel their booked appointment. .
Those who are 58 years of age and older can still book an appointment, where they will receive the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, online or by phone.
