Saskatoon Police say they were called to 105th Street on Good Friday around 10 in the morning after receiving reports of an accident and shortly after arriving, another call came in from a block away of a man being shot.

The initial accident took place near Bishop Filevich Ukrainian Bilingual School on 105th Street. Police say the man wasn’t shot but suffered minor injuries because of the car accident. He was located in the 100 block of 104th Street.

The investigation indicates right now that shots were fired from one car at another, where it appears the individuals involved knew each other, causing one of the vehicles to collide with a third vehicle, an SUV.

A 25 year old Saskatoon man was arrested by North Battleford RCMP in the area of Highway 16 and Lilac Road. He faces four firearms-related charges and a charge in relation to the theft of a motor vehicle.

Saskatoon Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be laid.
