There is an increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 in Good Soil Saskatchewan where a person or persons attended while infectious.
It occurred on Friday April 2nd, at The Bender Bar & Grill on 208 Main Street in Good Soil, Saskatchewan. The exposure could have occurred at any time that day.
The SHA reported individuals who were at this location during the specified time must immediately self-isolate and contact HealthLine 811, their physician or nurse practitioner to arrange for a COVID-19 test, even if asymptomatic.
In order to keep everyone in SHA care spaces safe during this time, family presence/visitation is being restricted to Level 3 at the Good Soil Long Term Care Facility.
This means that visitation is restricted to End of Life reasons. Examples include, but are not limited to: palliative care, hospice care or those who are at high risk for loss of life, dramatic shift in the functioning of a patient or patient unlikely to leave hospital. Additionally, under Level 3 there is provision that one essential family/support person can be designated for all residents to assist with care if needed (self-care, mobility, nutrition & behavioural needs). This must be approved by the care team.
For now, this measure does not affect outdoor visitation.
