Meadow Lake RCMP as investigating after an altercation lead to an innocent bystander almost being shot.

Officers say they responded to a report of shots being fired on Tuesday, just before midnight, at a business in the 600 block of 1st Avenue in Meadow Lake. Police say two groups of people allegedly got into an altercation outside the business and a gun was fired multiple times. One of the rounds entered the windshield of a bystander who was not injured. RCMP say all suspects fled the scene and believe up to five people were present or involved.

No injuries were reported to police, and no arrests have been made so far, but RCMP believe the incident is related to street gang involvement. Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to call Meadow Lake RCMP or Crimestoppers.
