A Regina Police Service investigation led the Gang Unit to an address in the 300 block of Pasqua Street on Tuesday evening in search of an 18 year old man with outstanding warrants, including one for attempted murder, and another for robbery.
Officers say the suspect left the home with a female and got into a cab.
Police followed the cab and it’s alleged when officers approached, he fled on foot.
After a brief chase, he was taken into custody.
Officers say a loaded .40 caliber handgun, fentanyl, bear spray and a machete were seized.
Cree Morris of Regina is facing 11 new charges, including possession of a loaded, restricted firearm, possession of a handgun for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
