Six Challenger-tier tennis tournaments scheduled to be held in Canada this year, including a women’s event in Saskatoon, have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Riversdale Tennis Classic was to have been held from July 12 to July 18, 2021 at the Riverside Tennis and Badminton Club. So far, Tennis Canada has announced the postponement or cancellation of 14 Challenger events, which are a tier below events on the A-T-P and W-T-A tours, since the start of 2020 due to the novel coronavirus.
