A mother was shaken but not harmed after being threatened by a man as she was placing her child in a car seat. Regina Police say they were called out to the 13 hundred block of Argyle Street around 5:40 Thursday afternoon. The woman said that a man approached her and demanded she give him her vehicle keys. She says he threatened to harm her so, she removed her child from the vehicle and gave him the keys.
She says he couldn’t get it started and fled on foot. Police say a suspect was found a few blocks away, allegedly trying to destroy the key fob. The man was arrested without incident.
Twenty year old, Jayden Taypotat is charged with Robbery, Obstruction, Breach of Probation, and Fail to Comply with a Condition of a Release Order.
Taypotat will be in Provincial Court Friday.
