The Meewasin Valley Authority says all of its rural sites and trails that were closed for the winter are now open.
That includes the Fred Heal and Poplar Bluffs canoe launches, Paradise Beach and the Meewasin Trail section along Wanuskewin Drive.
The sites are open from sunrise to sunset.
Resource Management Officer, Renny Grilz, reminds everyone that the current and sandbars on the river can be unpredictable.
He says water outflows from the South Saskatchewan River are still high as the snow and ice melts, meaning a very strong current, so don’t leave children or pets unattended.
Also, Grilz reminds everyone that the COVID-19 precautions continue, so avoid crowded areas.
