A report that will be seen by City Council today shows Darren Hill missed the February 16th deadline to disclose election campaign contributions and expenses.
Hill has said he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and health issues prevented him from filing.
Under the City’s Campaign Disclosure and Spending Limits Bylaw, candidates who miss the deadline could be subject to a fine, but in the case of Hill, the bylaw reads an elected candidate is disqualified from Council and should resign immediately.
City administration states the violation of the bylaw requires direction and action at Today’s (Mon) city council meeting at 1 p.m.
