Residents may have noticed a lot of smoke coming from the North Industrial Area of the city Monday afternoon.  The Saskatoon Fire Department says it was caused by a grass fire.

At 1:38 pm, the Saskatoon Fire Department received a report of a grass fire along 71st Street in the 300 block. More 9-1-1 calls then came in indicating the fire was getting larger. In total, four engine companies, two brush trucks, two water tankers and the Battalion Chief were sent out to fight the fire.  The Warman Fire Department also sent firefighters to the scene.
