Humboldt Conservation Officers came across a large amount of oil dumped in Lake Lenore this spring. The incident was posted to social media in the last week.
It is believed the used oil was dumped out on the lake near Lung’s Beach the weekend of March 19-21st. The term “out on” is used because much of the lake was still frozen over and Conservation Officers were able to clean up the oil before the ice became unstable.
Anyone with information on who may be responsible is asked to call the TIP line at 1-800-667-7561. You can remain anonymous.
