Pellet Gun Shooting With Injuries
Saskatoon Police say two women were injured in a weekend shooting incident.
The 22 and 18 year old were sitting outside of a home in the 500 block of Avenue J South around midnight Sunday when two males started firing a weapon over the fence. Both women were injured by pellets. One suspect is described as male wearing a black sweater and grey joggers. No description is available for the other male suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers.
Weapons Charges
Saskatoon Police say an Edmonton man faces a weapons charge after being pulled over for alleged cell phone use while driving. Around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, officers say they spotted an SUV near 8th Street East and Arlington Avenue where a man appeared to be using his cell phone. Police say he was also in possession of a loaded firearm. A 22-year-old man is charged with Careless Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Unauthorized Possession in Motor Vehicle, Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence, Prohibited Possession of Firearm, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and two counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
