The dream is becoming a reality.
The Chair of the Rose Garden Hospice Association says after over ten years of gathering support for a hospice in Prince Albert and fundraising to construct the building, the ground breaking ceremony is on May 15th.
Marina Mitchell says the facility will have ten private bedrooms with plenty of space for friends and family to visit.
There will be a couple of family rooms, a kitchen, and an outdoor space.
The hope is to have the doors open in a year to 18 months, but Mitchell points out that the there is a shortage of materials in the construction industry with everyone building and renovating, which means some products are hard to get and the prices are rising.
Because of this the Board is appealing to manufacturers to see if there are opportunities for donations.
Along with the ground breaking ceremony on May 15th, the Association will also be announcing a major fundraising effort.
