Saskatoon is one of ten communities across Canada to receive a Bicycle Friendly City award from the Share the Road Cycling Coalition. Silver awards went to six communities, mostly in Ontario. The Bronze award was shared by four communities including Saskatoon. The Coalition says interest in cycling has grown, with retail stores experiencing high demand for bikes. The organization says the recognized communities have demonstrated a commitment to cycling and are well positions to take advantage of the cycling enthusiasm.
