A 59 year-old Regina man has been charged with Uttering Threats after an investigation into an alleged threatening e-mail received by the Prime Minister’s Office in Ottawa on May 1st. On Wednesday, Regina Police received a call from the office of the Prime Minister indicating they’d received an e-mail containing threats of damage to the Legislative Building and Queen’s Bench Court, as well as threats to the safety of an out-of-province physician and a retired judge. The investigation led police to the Regina residence of the suspect, Harold Christopher Charles Ringline. He was taken into custody without incident.
Ringline made his first appearance on the charge in Provincial Court on Thursday.
