There was an increased police presence in Kindersely and the neighbouring community of Eatonia on Friday.

At 6 p.m. RCMP released a statement that a police investigation was ongoing and were encouraging the public to avoid areas where they noted a police presence.

Then at 11:30 p.m. RCMP reported that police officers had concluded their active investigation in the communities of Kindersley and Eatonia.  Although state there may still be a police presence throughout the weekend.

Further information is expected early next week with regards to this event.
