A 16-year-old male faces 12 firearms and/or weapons related offences plus a charge of obstruction following a Saskatoon Police patrol stop on Tuesday night.

At about 10:40 p.m., officers spotted a male on a bicycle without a reflector or headlight in the 100 block of Avenue P South. He fled when the patrol officers tried to stop him. He was, eventually, stopped in the 200 block of Avenue P South where he was arrested without incident. Upon investigation, the officers found the teen had a concealed, imitation firearm on his person plus a second imitation firearm, a face mask, three knives and a machete inside his backpack.
