Statistics Canada says Residential construction investment increased for the eleventh consecutive month, up 7.6% to $14 billion in March.
Non-residential construction investment rose 1.1% to $4.6 billion in March. Despite the gain, the commercial and industrial investment components were below pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels.
In Saskatchewan, investment on the residential side rose 6.3 per cent. The total value was $337.3 million. In non-residential, investment here declined 0.5 per cent. Total value was $74.9 million.
