Saskatoon Police arrested a man Thursday morning following an assault on two individuals. Around 8:20 Wednesday morning, Saskatoon Police responded to an assault-in-progress at 1st Avenue and 20th Street. Officers located two individuals who reported being assaulted by an unknown man. Police learned a suspect approached the victims and threw a shovel at one of them. When the second victim attempted to intervene, the suspect struck them with a skateboard before fleeing. Both victims were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect was also reported to have struck a vehicle with a skateboard prior to the assault.

Around 7:45 Thursday morning, Saskatoon Police were called to 115th Street and Central Avenue. The caller spotted the suspect from yesterday’s assault, kicking a City bus. Officers found a suspect, skateboarding in the 100 block of Imperial Street where he was arrested without incident.
The 29-year-old is charged with Assault with a Weapon and Mischief Under $5000.
