Three people have been arrested and face multiple drug trafficking and drug possession charges following the completion of an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service’s Drug Unit.

A 42-year-old Saskatoon women, a 49-year-old Saskatoon man and a 31-year-old Melfort man are all charged with trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime under five thousand dollars. The arrests were made after the trio were observed conducting activity consistent with drug trafficking on various dates around the city. At about 8 p.m. on May 12, the Drug Unit, with help from the Tactical Support Unit, executed a traffic stop in a hotel parking lot in the 2800 block of Lorne Avenue. The two men were arrested from the vehicle without incident while the woman was arrested without incident in a hotel suite following execution of a search warrant. Meth, cocaine and scales were found inside the hotel suite while the suspects were found to be in possession of a total of 111 grams of powdered cocaine, 430 grams of crystal meth, $120 in cash plus cell phones, scales, packaging and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
